The School Resource Officer (SRO) program is a cooperative agreement between the Licking County Sheriff’s Office and Northridge Local School District. Through this program, a Deputy Sheriff is assigned to the District to help maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
The purpose of the SRO program is to promote safe, orderly, and secure schools by supporting law enforcement efforts, fostering a positive school climate, and providing educational opportunities. The SRO’s duties include promoting school safety during the school day, conducting law enforcement activities, collaborating and educating students and staff, serving as a positive role model, and assisting with crime prevention and safety consulting.
